Updated March 25th, 2025: Nike just restocked the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 “Royal”. This is an original colorway from 2003 that Nike first brought back in 2020. Five years later, it returns with the same $140 MSRP.

The Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 has been busy since retroing for the first time in 17 years back in March. Follow-ups to collaborations with Stussy have seen the “ultimate race day shoe” revel in both original and new colorways. On the former end, the “Royal” colorway used in the silhouette’s promotional material is slated to return soon.
Mixed mesh and leather uppers on the forthcoming Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 boast a “Royal” and “Metallic Silver” arrangement. The rich blue hue animates breathable textile panels across the forefoot and heel, as well as profile Swooshes and accompanying branding. A matte grey overtakes any remaining mesh underlays throughout the upper, while the model’s signature overlays don a shimmering treatment. Underfoot, sole units are kept subdued, as Phylite midsoles and Zoom Air units and their “cages” opt in for a “White” makeup. Various details across the outsole indulge in a “Black/Royal” scheme transplanted not only from the launch Spiridon Cage 2, but also other classics under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella.
A release date is still unknown, but this Zoom Spirdon Cage 2 is likely to arrive to Nike.com by August to coincide with the silhouette’s debut in 2003. In the meantime, take a closer look at the pair here below.
