Nike Celebrates Beijing With The Air Foamposite One “Planet Hoops”

Nike’s Planet Hoops collection, a celebratory capsule of all things basketball, just reached an apex with this upcoming Air Foamposite One. It’s got all the key triggers that make a Foamposite fan go wild; the formula of a galaxy-themed upper and glow in the dark soles has never failed, but Nike honors the Eastern city of Beijing with a silver overlay of a dragon. The lace collar is also swapped for a reptilian texture to further enhance the spirit of the mythical animal, while the Planet Hoops logo on the insoles confirm that these are indeed part of that well-decorated seasonal capsule. While a release date has yet to be confirmed, we can expect to arrive in the coming Summer months – and it’s possible that these are exclusive to China.
