If you’ve always dreamt up mash-ups of Nike LeBron signature shoes, you might not have to wait much longer. This first look at an upcoming hybrid of the LeBron 17 and the forgotten LeBron 4 revealed a brand new remix in – what else – the appropriate “NYC Remix” colorway that debuted on the Foamposite-based signature model in late 2006. The bulky ankle collar is placed above the Battleknit exterior of the LeBron 17, while the molded midsole is altered to fit with the LeBron 17 cushioning unit. The “NYC Remix” was an NYC-exclusive release that dropped at a pop-up shop, with invites sent to NikeBasketball.com members (yes, this was a long time ago). Clamors for a LeBron 4 Retro have gone unheard since, but it appears that the model is making a semi-comeback with this #LeBronWatch style execution. A release date isn’t known yet, but we’ll keep you updated.
