From velvet clad to frog-adorned, Nike SB collaborations never fail to surprise, with each newly added family member doing exactly what they so choose. Recently, even Travis Scott joined the fray, but in departure to his loud and bold Dunk Low, the freshly recruited Isle Skateboards opts for subtlety. The brain child of legends Paul Shier and Nick Jensen, the imprint has come into its own with statement graphics and quite a few refined, simple logo lock-ups — with inspiration stretching iconic musicals to renowned artists. Their Blazer Mid, however, seems to encroach little on any intellectual property as it instead adds patches to a triple black upper much like the styling of their very own boards. The dark suede of the top half ostensibly acts as the deck itself with the stitched application marking in contrast with a tie-dye wash of indigo and white. Elegant “isle” calligraphy lies quietly at its end, matching close the same namesake branding at the heel. Grab a detailed look at everything mention as well as the insole graphic tucked inside and expect expect the pair to hit shops come April 4th.
In other news, the SB Blazer Low is getting light yellow swooshes.
