Currently in the process of commemorating its 30th birthday, ASICS’ GEL-Lyte III is quickly beginning to pick up steam with new colorways such as its recent Kobe beef inspired rendition, in addition to its mismatching corduroy collaboration with Sean Witherspoon that was revealed in detail yesterday. And now, the Japanese sportswear imprint is highlighting its celebrations once again, but this time through a more modernized silhouette. The GEL-Lyte XXX, after revealing itself with a “Barcode” motif, is back for a duo of releases that channel a blast-from-the-past mentality of its own. Two original colorways of the aforementioned GEL-Lyte III in green/yellow and white/red color palettes are translated in near identical fashion. Each take is primarily hued with white base layers, and finds its throat, sock liners, and upper overlays working in harmony to deliver their best “OG Red” and “Citrus” impressions. If you’re looking to scoop up a pair, they will be available at select retailers overseas for a retail tag of $120 on April 3rd.
In other news, here’s a closer look at the alternate Air Penny V “Dolphins” colorway.
