The Bubble-Wrapped Nike Air Max 98 Pops In Aqua And Volt

The Bubble-Wrapped Nike Air Max 98 Pops In Aqua And Volt

Nike officially announced its Air Max Bubble Pack last week. And while the playful nod to Nike Air is scheduled to arrive this weekend, new colorways are still popping up, like this “Oracle Aqua/White/Barely Volt” arrangement on the Air Max 98.

Previously only seen in a “Magic Flamingo,” the ’98 silhouette’s upcoming release introduces a third palette to the aforementioned collection. While iridescence-free, uppers on this pair still boast gradient finishes across their mudguards and top textile layers. The latter only experiences the dimpled-embellishment via its toe box overlay and upper eye stay, while the former is riddled with bubbles all throughout. Though the trypophobia-triggering pattern is isolated to a few areas, the “Oracle Aqua” and “Barely Volt” palette isn’t; “airmax” tongue branding and heel tabs heavily favor the vibrant blue hue. Elsewhere, the Teal-like arrangement takes over much of the visible Air unit down below, save for the slight touch of neon Green near the forefoot. “White” construction – center underlay, tongue, midsole, outsole – make the Spring-ready color scheme stand out that much more.
