While much of the spotlight this year has been on the Air Max 90 as it celebrates its 30th Anniversary, the Air Max 95 has demanded some attention through collaborations with COMME des GARÇONS and size?. As part of the latter’s milestone year, signature classic neon and grey stylings have been emerging on other members of the Beaverton family like the Air Jordan 4 and now the MX-720-818. Unlike its Jumpman counterpart, the lifestyle silhouette favors a tonal makeup rather than the classic gradient arrangement, but effectively executes the fan-favorite colorway. Quilted uppers, inspired by space suits, are done in a smokey grey subtly interrupted by light overlays throughout the throat, medial midfoot, and heel. Varying shades of green accent the otherwise understated uppers, with the iconic neon hue taking over Swoosh, “NIKE,” and “MX-720-818” branding, as well as the “max” half of the Air Max logo on the tongue just like on the AM95. Down below, Air Max 720-cushioning units are entirely blacked-out.
