Now that the draft picks have been taken care of, and we have Team Giannis and Team LeBron locked and loaded for NBA All-Star Weekend, the anticipation building around the star-studded events are continuing to rise. For the basketball-filled weekend, you already know that Nike is coming hard with their sneaker releases, especially with heavy support from those that hold close ties to the Chicago community. Included in their lineup is Don C, streetwear designer from the Windy City, whose luxury Just Don imprint gets its opportunity to lend a helping hand for this forthcoming Air Force 1 High colorway. Similar to RSVP Gallery’s upcoming Nike collaboration, this rendition is a conglomerate of the AF1, AF2, and AF3 in terms of construction, and is modeled after the Illinois metropolis’ flag. Taking its vibrant blue and red colors to heart, these lifestyle iterations take the former to coat a majority of its look, and sprinkle the latter to touch on the midsole, throat, and heel branding, as well as the interior tongue which holds a silky smooth backdrop that hosts the actual flag. Just Don insignias are executed via small touches on the lace dubraes and heels for a co-branded finish. Grab a closer look here below, and expect these to release at select retailers on Nike.com on February 15th.
