With the return of the Air Jordan 1 in all its ’85 glory in just two weeks’ notice, one would think that Jordan Brand would use the interim time to catch a breath, but the Beaverton imprint is doing quite the opposite. If its recent All-Star Weekend 2020 Preview was indicative of anything it’s that the brand is just getting started – though it’s already dropped the Jordan 4 “Black Cat” and Jordan 9 “Racer Blue,” among others, this month alone. In the coming months, a recently surfaced Jordan 1 Mid will join the mix in a simple panda palette animated by colorful swooshes and outsoles. Uppers on this pair are constructed with a white base donning black tumbled leather overlays around the toe, lace guards, heel, and ankle. Nike’s iconic logo – done in patent leather – alternates hue between lateral and medial sides, with the former favoring a “University Red” that complements the latter’s golden choice nicely. Down below, outsoles introduce more colors and finishes as they provide this AJ1 traction in a translucent “Lucid Green” arrangement. Enjoy a detailed look at this Mid here while you wait for more details on its release.
