The Vans “Dark Aura” Pack Reveals Thermal Graphics

The Vans “Dark Aura” Pack Reveals Thermal Graphics

After enjoying several special releases last season alone, which included a “Year of the Rat” collection, both the Vans Slip-On and Sk8-Hi are taking a break from the collaborations with an inline “Dark Aura” pack. Featuring allover thermal graphics, each pair would complete a ’70s-themed outfit perfectly given its psychedelic orange/yellow/blue arrangement and yet, there’s something slightly ominous about its printed images. Although both shoes share Vans’ signature white midsole/rubber waffle outsole combination, the taller silhouette contrasts its multicolored print with a navy textile construction around the re-enforced toecaps, tongue, and heel. The Slip-On goes all-in on the visual mishmash and only adds variety via the frequency of the thermal graphic between left and right shoe. Who knows what the temperature-tracking illustrations are depicting on these two pairs, but if you want to try and figure that out, you can inspect these in-person after you pick them up on Vans.com right now for either $60 (Slip-On) or $70 (Sk8-Hi).
