Did Ronnie Fieg Just Reveal His Next New Balance Collaboration?

Once the impetus of the runner craze, Ronnie Fieg has established himself even far away from the brands that once stood on top during the era, many of which were integral in his meteoric rise to the proverbial hall of fame. And despite their fall from grace, the KITH head stayed on top, likely waiting for trends and interests to cycle back years after. Well, that time is now, evidently, and the Queens-born designer has already assisted long-time friend New Balance with some shop exclusives — this latest 1700 to reveal possibly of the same sort or maybe even a collaboration. Teased by way of almost all his social media channels, the pair takes on a coloring extremely vibrant, patchworking with suede panels of purple, blue, pink, yellow, and the like. “N” logos embroider small as signature to the model, midsoles retain the bulky shape in a clean white, and its designated number lines the tongue — but many are still likely to ask one question: is there any KITH branding? From the available angles, it seems as if it isn’t so, though with more images to come, we’ll surely have all our inquiries answered very soon.

UPDATE: The KITH x New Balance 1700 will be one part to a much larger capsule under the theme of “Colorist,” sitting beside another colorway as well as a range of apparel.
