Nike’s continuing strategy of bringing back historic Air Max collaborations in the month of March seems to be continuing in 2020. Based on sneaker info leaker @pyleaks, the famed drops from 2004 by DQM will be making a comeback this March, although it’s not entirely certain if this is a true re-issue or a “2.0” attempt with minor changes. Nike had approached the re-release of atmos’ Air Max 1 “Safari” (2016) and both Animal Pack designs (2018) with significant changes, but that wasn’t the case with the “Elephant” retro (2017). We’ll wait for some more developments, but if you want to learn more about the design of the Bacon Air Max 90, check out our Beyond The Box feature with Dave Ortiz – the NYC-based artist that designed the shoes.
