With many star athletes put on a pedestal, it’s often difficult to truly humanize them from an average point of view, but with each player their own personal story, it’s undeniable that they had both friends and family rooting for them on the sidelines ever since the beginning. Kevin Durant is certainly one of those lucky few, and his signature Nike silhouette, the KD 12, is the latest assignment for childhood companion Devonte Young and his streetwear imprint Enspire. Two colorways — both a black and white — approach the brand’s aesthetic in way somewhat maximal to say the least; vandalistic and DIY’d, each pair speckles with colors signature to the logo of Young’s label, with its bubble leathers even emblazoned onto the inners of the outsole in graffiti styling. Hang tabs of the same feature can be found subtly on the back heel, finishing strong with contrast stitching and a long manifesto typed in bold along the insole. Grab a good look right here and sit tight as they were stated to be releasing in a few weeks.
