Ringing in a new era at the tail end of 2019, adidas Yeezy is further playing with the context of their many silhouettes, landing on the most recent and most transformative version of the Yeezy 700 yet dubbed appropriately as the v3. While we got an early glimpse of the model in the hands of DJ Khaled, it’s the first time we’ve truly seen it in detail — from top, side, and front — with its more minute modifications giving way to a shared aesthetic with the 380. While originally anticipated to break in the new year, it’s possible that the release has been moved up according to Yeezy Mafia, with its inaugural launch taking place near moments after the aforementioned. Its sole units, entirely distinct from it predecessors, are given a bulk receptive of this change in design; uppers do the same as well, opting for hardshell overlays across the entire Primeknit base in what is effectively alien-esque in appearance. The “Azael” colorway blends neutral grays with slightly distinct accents of off-white along the outer layer while then playing up contrast with a matte black at the entire lace unit and lining. Grab a good look at these right here, and sit tight as they’re rumored to release at adidas.com and select retailers on December 23rd for a surprisingly low retail of $180 USD.
