Hebru Brantley Reveals Art Basel Exclusive adidas Rivalry Hi Collaboration

Always the influential, Hebru Brantley has basked in the public eye for a long and certainly welcome while, continuing to maintain notoriety through mostly merit alone. After Jay-Z dropped a lofty $20K on one of his paintings just a few years ago, it’s been nothing but up for the Chicago-born artist and he’s bringing things back to Art Basel with his own adidas collaboration on the Rivalry Hi. Infusing his own signature narrative and motifs, the silhouette effectively borrows the likeness of Brantley’s iconic OG Flyboy character with luxe suede overlays, smooth leathers, and a host of distinct molds dressing up in colorful cosplay. Sultry greens nod to his cap of choice, blues shades to his garments, and bright reds to the bridge of his iconic goggles — sadly not included with purchase. If you’re trying to get your hands on a pair, it may be a bit difficult if you’re not in Miami as these are set to drop this Thursday, 12/5, at the Art Basel BBC ICECREAM Pop-up in Miami.

Updated December 4th, 2019: BBC ICECREAM will also release collaborative apparel at the pop-up.
