New Balance Channels The OG 850 Colorway For Its All Terrain Iteration

After bringing back the OG colorway of the New Balance 850 just a few months ago, it seems the brand’s penchant for the clean pairing of white and blue was reignited as they’ve since brought it back in homage across the silhouette’s trail update. Quite a few years younger than its inspiration, the release, with its updated Freshfoam cushioning and all, certainly comes from a place of admiration as it near perfectly crafts through a filter more modern. Palettes are, of course, simple in their two-part standouts yet they’ve added a bit of vibrant yellow in accent across the “NB” logo emblazoned on the heel and the subtle “Vibram” lettering stamped into the tread itself. Ripples, molds, and aggressively cracked prints create a look futuristic and almost dystopian, a detail that would otherwise be ill-suited if not for the various overlays added on to the retro base. Securing by way of straps and extra nubuck pieces, the upper forms in bulk at its sides and overextends its rear panel into the toe cap for a fitting transition from past to present. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and find it at select retailers right now.
