With more freethinking sub-labels like ISPA and D/MS/X ramping up production, it seems Nike has a whole has begun to let go of its reigns ever-so-slightly, begetting interesting takes on classics and fusions far removed from any of their individual components. The next up pairs two of the brands most signature releases — the Air Max 360 and Vapormax tech — giving the individual bubbles of the cushioning a new home dubbed the Air Vapormax 360. Rather than stamp them right along, the profile is adorned with a transitioning middle piece which bears no negative effects to the overall silhouette while separating the retro stylings of the upper and the futuristic ethos of the bottoms. Seen in quite a few colorways — simple silver and red or bright whites and neon green — the top half is surely the star of the show: these bright accents, however, take a backseat to a textural material from toe to heel as the mudguards stay a much more unassuming smooth leather adjacent to digital-esque detailing and iridescent swooshes. Grab a good look at what’s up for release right here and expect them to hit Nike.com and select retailers surely within the next few months.
