Nike’s Conceptual N.354 Initiative Ushers In The React Gore-Tex

Nike’s explorative N.354 sector of footwear has typically leaned towards the archival product. The Drop Type LX, for example, can be plainly described as a variation of the Blazer Low, although the insoles note something of a Mowabb inspiration (which we’re still trying to understand). The Huarache Type was something right out of the mid-1990s with a design akin to the Huarache LWP. This latest N.354 inclusion assures us there’s some origin story that dates back to 1997 based on the text on the insoles. At first glance, this low-profile silo utilizes a mesh base with select mudguard overlays and translucent eye-stays, strongly hinting at a modernized aesthetic. The chiseled React sole also lends to that notion, with Gore-Tex protection offering up ready-to-wear capabilities for this season. With N.354’s sole mission to revisit past experimental trials, it would be enlightening to know what the genesis of this concept truly. Peep the official images ahead and stay tuned for updates.
