The Nike Kyrie 6 gets its first official unveiling via the “Jet Black” colorway, scheduled to drop on November 22nd in full family sizes. The athlete’s eponymous line of silhouettes, which have continued to hit headlines thanks to its Spongebob Squarepants collaborations, has embarked on its latest chapter, opting to lie closer to the guidelines of previous iterations. Upon quick glance, the model doesn’t appear too distinct from its direct predecessor as both overall shape and the placement of its most focal accents are essentially found in the same place. Embroidery, however, swaps out for the traditionally overlaid swoosh, though it still acts a large, contrasting bit of branding along this black and white colorway next to treads that bear a different overall tread pattern and color blocking. Split in two overt pieces as well, the separation between the rest of the construction and the toe box is much more pronounced: the latter opts for secure lock downs against a sturdy panel of tightly knit mesh with the opposite half preferring various ribbed molds and smooth leathers. Lace shields are removed for a much more secure strap of paint splatter, tongues keep their signature branding, heels raise with interesting cast, and outsoles stamp with the point guard’s signature. For a detailed look at all that and more, be sure to check below and expect to find pairs hitting Nike.com later in November.
