Alife Makes A Return To Footwear With The Everybody Hi “NY!”

Alife Makes A Return To Footwear With The Everybody Hi “NY!”

Returning to their own line of footwear after a lengthy hiatus, Alife is reintroducing their staple Everybody Hi silhouette though now dressed up with New York themes and upgraded materials, ostensibly channelling some of the learnings gained through their prior collaborations with adidas and possibly basking somewhat in the momentum of Nike SB’s recent comeback. An objective and indisputable love letter to their roots, the streetwear institution has encapsulated the youth culture in which they grew by nodding quite overtly to every New Yorker’s favorite menthol cigarette: Newports. Borrowing inspiration from its iconic branding, each pair is brandished with a giant profile applique of “NEW YORK!” in bright orange synthetic and retro stylized font. Overlays of the staple green tone see sparing usage at both the ankle flaps in toe caps — the latter in suede and former in tumbled leather — while much of the smooth base and cup sole stay a blinding white tone. “alife” branding sits at the tab of the tongue in signature likely accompanied by a heel tab in their standard type. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and find it hitting their site on October 24th for a retail of $120 USD.
