Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Varsity Red” Confirmed For 2020

Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Varsity Red” Confirmed For 2020

The Air Jordan 1 has become its own viable business under the Jumpman23 umbrella, and in 2020 it’s about to expand upwards with a super-premium tier above the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. With a focus on true-to-the-original shape, materials, and dimensions, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High ’85 will exist as the highest-grade iteration of the first Jordan signature shoe, simultaneously commemorating the 35th Anniversary of its initial release. We’ve already learned that the “Chicago” colorway (dubbed “New Beginnings”) is in the works, with an expected release during All-Star Weekend in Chicago. Sneaker info source @zsneakerheadz and @soleheatonfeet reveal a new “Varsity Red” colorway that presumably sticks close to the sentimental Bulls color scheme. There’s no question that the other pioneering colorways such as the “Banned” and “Black Toe” are part of Jordan Brand’s plans, although it’s not entirely confirmed if this recently surfaced info points to either of those. Stay tuned for updates, and check out our Air Jordan 2020 Preview for the latest on what’s dropping next year.
