It’s evident that the adidas Yeezy business is fully immersed in a new phase with several new models set to drop this winter season. The latest inclusion, alongside the Yeezy 380 and Yeezy 500 High, is the Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN – a spin-off of the standard Yeezy 700 model with some abrupt changes. Gone is the multi-layered upper, and replacing it is a sportier concept that features an oversized “700” in italics on the upper that was, according to Kanye West himself, designed by running shoe design legend Christian Tresser. Prior to that knowledge, the 700 MNVN was first revealed in a neon green colorway that was reportedly gifted to 6ix9ine’s manager.
Another notable change to the Yeezy 700 MNVN is the steep price-cut. While the Yeezy Boost 700 and its v2 counterpart are priced at $300, the MNVN Yeezys will drop down to a much more digestable $220 that should help the shoes sell out as quickly as the much more popular Yeezy 350 models. Yeezy Mafia reports a “Triple Black” and an “Orange” colorway are in the works, so stay tuned for first looks.
*Update February 3rd, 2020: The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN “Triple Black will be dropping on February 8th, while the “Orange” is releasing on February 28th.
