END Heads For The Coast With The New Balance 878 “Grey Gull”

Broken in by retailer size?, the New Balance 878 seems to gradually be making its way into the silhouette spotlight, continuing to leave the shadow of its near five year hiatus with the arrival of a following END collaboration. In slight departure, the scheme — dubbed “Grey Gull” — is just slightly less colorful, though its usage of primaries is nothing of the ordinary grey drab. Toe boxes and various panelling, however, bear neutrals in full, only accented by black suede at the profile and edge of the heel. Branded type and denotative embroidery are surely procedure, though the hits of the former lie against a backdrop of mustard yellow leathers. The “N” logo at the side follows in the striking warm tone though outlined by deep reds, a color compliment that is more fully realized along the tread as it transitions across the entire tonal family. Complete with “END” type at the insole and lace tips, the pair is ready for its exclusive draw set to end on October 18th.
