Nike SB has demonstrated a propensity for using colorways from famous silhouettes on their in-line product recently, and the latest pair to receive a makeover is this SB Blazer Low GT that borrows from Fly’s famous 2007 SB Blazer “Milkcrate.” Although the signature “Milkcrate” ocean blue and gum hues are present and accounted for here, they’re applied in a slightly different fashion. The upper is dressed in a light ivory suede, while the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue tag all feature a refreshingly recognizable blast of blue. Meanwhile, the midsole opts for a gum toe cap and white body. Although the special detailing like the “Missing” tab on the heel, Chinese characters, and multi-color piping are not present, these Nike shoes still present a clever resemblance to a piece of SB history. They also retail for a palatable $75 instead of the four-figure sums that the OG “Milkcrate” fetches on the secondary market these days. They’re popping up at skate shops now and will likely hit Nike.com soon, so check out a full set of official images and a shot of the 2007 pair directly below while you wait.
