Sneakersnstuff Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Nike Air Max Tailwind IV

Sneakersnstuff Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Nike Air Max Tailwind IV

1999 was a big year in the world of athletic footwear. While Nike debuted their top-tier Air Max Tailwind IV, a humble shop in Stockholm, Sweden dubbed Sneakersnstuff opened its doors for the first time ever, and now, 20 years later, the Tailwind IV has gone on to become an NSW classic, while SNS has evolved into one of the most powerful and influential global retail businesses in its space. Therefore, it only makes sense that Tailwind and retailer would come together for a special colorway to celebrate their shared anniversary. Recently premiered by SNS co-founder Erik Fagerlind, the commemorative shoes feature a dusty grey, soft blue, and retro yellow colorway for a possible nod to Sweden. There’s plenty of unique details/material tweaks too, as the tongue features a hand-scrawled “Since 1999” graphic and the medial side swaps out its standard mesh construction for a luxurious suede. Part sport, part street, and part store-centric, this special design is very likely a PE for SNS friends/family. That means they probably won’t see a retail release, but you can check ’em out here, and when you’re done head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page to see what other Tailwinds will be releasing this fall.
