Love ’em or hate ’em, you can’t ignore the sustained success of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots, so Nike is paying homage to the Pats’ sixth Super Bowl victory last season with a fresh take on the Air Force 1 Flyknit. Foxborough football squad and Force have a long-running relationship, as the Swoosh Brand has been crafting Air Force 1s inspired by both the Pats and their owner Robert Kraft for years, but this new makeup is unquestionably one of their boldest yet. The knit upper is constructed of a dark navy, while a bold metallic silver Swoosh that comes off the edge much like the check on Travis Scott‘s first two AF1s provides a powerful hit of trophy-esque detailing. There’s also a sizeable “6X Champions” graphic embroidered on the heel tab above a white/red stripe, a Super Bowl 53 logo on the tongue, and team branding on both the insoles and lace deubres. A small white forefoot Swoosh and cored-out white midsole round off the look. A release date has not yet been announced, but as the NFL’s 100th season kicks off tonight, you can expect ’em to arrive soon, so enjoy a set of official images below in the meantime.
