Nike’s first Vapormax Utility gave the popular Vapormax a rugged makeover back in 2018, and now the Vapormax 2019 is set to receive the same technical treatment thanks to a brand-new Vapormax 2019 Utility silhouette. This sturdy yet still sleek take on the Vapormax 2019 offers a silhouette that’s similar in shape, save for the tongue which is raised up significantly higher than before thanks to a new neoprene sockliner. Gone is the translucent TPE from the base model as well, replaced by a rugged mix of synthetics with taped seams that can handle all the snow, slush, and sleet that’ll buffet the country all winter long. Each shoe also features a toggle lacing system for a snug-and-secure fit, while a Vapormax cushioning unit set under an extra layer of Cushlon foam ensure that no comfort is sacrificed in the pursuit of durability.
These new Nike shoes have been revealed in two colorways. One’s a mix of earthy brown and olive base tones with vibrant blue, pink, and gold accents that seems Nike ACG-esque, the other a slick black and silver that plays up its technological aesthetic to make it look like something Errolson Hugh and ACRONYM might create. Pricing info has not yet been announced, but you can expect both of these hardy lifestyle shoes to debut this fall season. In the meantime, enjoy a first look at both here and keep it locked for further info as it’s available.
