The Nike Air Max 90 has been used as a physical homage to music multiple times over the summer months — last appearing in a duo of “Mixtape” makeups — and now it’s set to release in a new “Vinyl” style that’s inspired by old-school records. Boasting an upper with a black base and red accents, these 90s then earn their nom de guerre thanks to the rubberized patterns present on the tongue and mudguard, both of which acknowledge the recognizable grooves in a vinyl record. The tongue patch’s circular shape and askew logo take the inspiration a step further by giving off a look that’s a clear nod to a spinning record on a turntable, while hot pops of red on the top eyestays and midfoot badge offer contrast. Down below, this album comes to a finale thanks an ever-so-faint teal tinted midsole, a black Air Max cushioning unit, and an icy translucent outsole. These AM90s are set to release globally on August 24th for $140 USD, so check a retailer list below to see what stores will have stock if you’re looking to add to your “music” collection.
