The Nike Air Max Tailwind IV Adopts The “Flight Jacket” Look

Nike’s revitalized Air Max Tailwind IV has been rolling out in dozens of colorways both fresh and familiar over the summer months, and the latest pair to appear is this “Flight Jacket”-styled makeup. Boasting a color palette that many sneakerheads instantly associate with 2005’s UNDEFEATED Air Jordan 4 — a shoe that’s widely regarded as one of the best collaborative Air Jordans of all time — this new Tailwind takes that military-themed ethos to heart, but interprets it in its own way. The mesh and suede upper is coated in a dark olive green, while black trim and accents are dispersed throughout for contrast. Signature pops of flair then arrive via bright and bold neon orange on the eyelets, small midfoot Swoosh, Air Max cushioning units, and outsole, which also boasts the Tailwind’s signature MX badge in light blue. You can look for these commemorative Nike shoes to hit Nike.com later this summer for $160 USD, so enjoy a complete set of official images directly below in the meantime while you await their arrival.
