Converse Unveils The VLTG As Part Of Upcoming Off-Court Collection

For their fall 2019 off-court collection, Converse Basketball has elected to re-interpret classic hoops silhouettes with a modern-day twist, and one result of that experimentation is the new VLTG for women. Inspired by the Converse Voltage — a performance basketball sneaker that debuted in 1995 and featured a “bolt-chervon” pattern on its upper — the VLTG brings that recognizable ’90s look into the present thanks to an exaggerated heel arch and striking steeped overlays on the upper. It’s constructed of premium leathers for a luxurious feel, and also features a bold tongue badge for a pop of extra style. Down below, a SmartFoam cushioning system and traditional herringbone outsole ensure that the performance stacks up to the looks. Debuting in a white/grey, a black/white, and a black/grey, the VLTG will hit Converse.com and select stockists this August, so get a first look directly below and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available.
