Vans Goes Heavy Metal With The Old Skool, Era, And Slip-On

Vans Goes Heavy Metal With The Old Skool, Era, And Slip-On

With Vans’ roots in youth culture, it’s only fitting they further indulge their rebellious side, painting the most enduring of their icons in a skin of the most hardcore of heavy metal. Effectively acting as tour merch encapsulated, each pair sports the same edgy motifs in vastly different ways. The Old Skool is largely the most simple as it its overlays and toe box stay a flat black with no embellishments; the loud prints, which take the form of angered skeletons and scattered ribcages, display along the profile window crossed over by a flat white Jazz stripe. Both the Era and Slip-On opt for all-over executions with both mixing in patterns of all-over logos and ornate visuals next to swatches of the aforementioned horror mosaic. Grab a detailed look at all three right below and expect to see them hitting select retailers come July 4th.
