Japan’s White Mountaineering Gives The adidas LXCON A Utility Upgrade

Japan’s White Mountaineering Gives The adidas LXCON A Utility Upgrade

With each and every release, Japanese label White Mountaineering pushes its illusory boundaries, going farther and farther with its latest step — a LXCON that walked the runway of its Spring/Summer ’20 show — adding utility in spades atop a tooling that beams in technical details. The most standout modification is, in no uncertain terms, the metallic buckles that replace the once ordinary lace unit; its face, which is barren aside from their bolted pieces, are reminiscent of the iconic Cobra Buckle a la Bagjack, ALYX, and referenced military issue. Treated weaves comprise the majority of the material make-up in two coinciding colorways: a deep navy adorned with accompanying neutrals and a much brighter tan accented with hits of bright orange. Three Stripes, which connect to the aforementioned hardware, extend past their usual point, shrouding the intricate midsole and stitched on overlays just slightly. Toe caps take on a look much like a taped seam with similarly futuristic aesthetics showing off by way of the wrapping tubing. Branding is minimal with the collaborators namesake sprawled across the arcs along the rear, finishing off what will be a silhouette to look out for early next year.

Grab a detailed look at both pairs right below and stay tuned as more details arise on their adidas.com release.
