Upon its revival, the Air Max 2 Light had the fortunate opportunity to take on the design ethos of sneaker natives atmos, modifying its structures for translucent overlays and chaotic underlying iconography. Though many succeeding in-line schemes shied very far away from the adventurous tooling, it appears we’ll be seeing a second coming of the collaborative edition, though subdued in both palette and print. Where bright pinks and rainbow tones lied, now rests a versatile black shade, deviating slightly with yellow and orange undertones. Various swooshes and Nike Air logos can be found scattered throughout much more moderately this time around, finding place almost haphazardly along the tongue, profile, top line, and eyestay. These same vintage hits can be seen on the usual logo placements as well as the insole while the stitched on check stands out in bright pink thread.
