Jordan Brand’s got some big plans for the summer months, and one of the shoes that’ll aid in their bid for solstace sneaker domination is this new Air Jordan 13 “Lakers.” Part of a “Rivals” pack that also includes a New York Knicks-inspired take on the Air Jordan 3, the familiar colorway nods to the ’91 NBA Finals, where Michael Jordan and the Bulls defeated Magic Johnson and the Lakers to earn their first Larry O’Brien trophy. A favored model of current Lakers guard and former LeBron James nemesis Lance Stephenson, this fresh take on the 1997 classic offers a premium white leather base, and adorns the suede mudguard, midsole, and heel in a regal purple. A purple Jumpman appears on the tongue, and further Lake Show stylings are provided by a gold tint on the signature cat’s eye collar detail. A podular black outsole with gold details then finalizes the look.
