With Nike SB slowly beginning to pick up traction as of late, Beaverton has given the Dunk Low and High many an inspired colorway, though — often overlooked compared to its compatriots — the Gato arrives once again for a needed departure into some of the line-up’s other notable icons. Low profile in its construction, the skate silhouette boasts a scheme akin to its Supreme collaboration from back in August of last year: bright and white profile swooshes sit atop a background of rampant University Red with a gum bottom adding even deeper connection. Unlike its retouch by the New York streetwear label, however, a standard mesh sits underneath the smooth leathers, creating what is, while one-noted, a canvas of mixed materials and lightweight cushioning.
