Ross Dwyer It’s a good time to be a University of Virginia fan. The top-seeded men’s basketball team defeated Texas Tech to claim their first-ever national championship in April, and now a new Nike Air Max 720 in a Cavaliers-esque color palette is set to release for the summer months ahead. The sporty textured mesh upper and abstract overlays are done up entirely in a dark navy, with the only deviations arriving via bright orange branded hits on the tongue/heel tab. Moving down below, the shoe’s plastic midfoot clip and massive translucent Air Max cushioning unit both sport the same brilliant shade of orange as the upper’s accents, making for a compelling collegiate combination of light and dark tones. If you’re a UVA backer, Air Max lover, or just to procure a fresh pair of Nike shoes for the summer, you can expect these 720s to release at the retailers listed below on May 3rd with an MSRP of $180 USD.
