After first joining forces for a special drop in 2018, DC Shoes and LA-based streetwear label FTP are back together again for their third collaboration. This time, they’ve dug into the archives to create a special new take on the classic Lynx OG. Although the Lynx originally released in 1998, the DC Lynx OG classic shoe and fiercely independent brand, FTP, have a lot in common. The ethos of skateboarding in the ’90s was all about rebellion and authenticity, and FTP is certainly no stranger to challenging the status quo themselves. Therefore, even though they were birthed in a different generation, creator and sneaker boast the same free-flowing vibe — a similarity that’s made readily apparent through their collaborative efforts. From a design standpoint, the special shoes call upon a dark grey suede upper accented with teal and black detailing. FTP logo hits run up the tongue/appear on the lower heel, and the look is completed by a classic gum sole with DC’s signature pill-shaped traction pattern. They’re limited to a mere 500 pairs, and will release on the DC Shoes Special Project website for $110 USD on March 30th. Check ’em out in detail below and be sure to get ready: you’ll need to be defiantly fast if you want to secure a pair on release day.
