Is Lonzo Ball Signing With Nike?

The beginning to Lonzo Ball‘s brief NBA career has been a tumultuous one thus far, as he and his father Lavar started making headlines dating back to his days at UCLA. In his first two seasons with the Lakers, Ball has worn his own signature ZO2 sneakers while primarily warming up in Nike-branded basketball shoes. Over the weekend things got even more tumultuous on the Ball front, as he severed ties with Alan Foster, co-founder of Big Baller Brand, due to concerns of criminal activity and the fact that he was unable to account for nearly $1.5 million from Lozno’s accounts. Beyond that, the Lakers organization has become weary of the ZO2’s durability, citing them as a potential reason for the sophomore guard’s recurring ankle injuries.

Since then, Ball has taken to his personal social media pages to post some cryptic messages that have lended to rumors of the enigmatic hooper potentially switching over to the Swoosh. On his IG, he put up a picture that read “It’s only a crazy dream if you do it.”, borrowed from a recent Beaverton ad campaign. Finished off by a caption reading, “Moving on to bigger and better #MyOwnMan”, it certainly seems as if Zo is ready for a change. With Los Angeles officially eliminated from playoff contention, do not expect any news regarding this potential change to surface soon, but keep it locked for updates as we have them.
