Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 14 “Rip Hamilton”

Richard “Rip” Hamilton has a long-standing relationship with Jordan Brand, one that began in earnest when he wore an Air Jordan 14 PE while capturing the Final Four MOP award in 1999 as a member of the UConn Huskies. Two decades and a plethora of PEs later, Jordan Brand is honoring Hamilton’s first true footwear moment by giving that special PE a retail release — on April 6th, the day of 2019’s NCAA Final Four. Bearing many a similarity to the AJ14 “Candy Cane,” Rip’s kicks combine a premium white leather base with bold red accents on the midsole and heel. Black is then used on the midfoot’s carbon fiber plate/the tongue, and also provides branded accents via the heel’s large “23” and the lateral side’s jeweled badge. The shoes are then encased in a classic silver box. As mentioned above, you can expect this shoe that Hamilton made college basketball history in to release on March 6th for $190 USD in full family sizes. Check out this legendary pair below, and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for even more info about other upcoming Jumpman drops.
