Since its original release in 1997, Nike’s Air Foamposite One has garnered strong opinions and a fiercely loyal following due to its unique beetle shell-styled upper and striking silhouette. More than 20 years later, the Foam is still an important part of Nike Sportswear releases each and every season — and it’s now surfaced in a wild new “Snakeskin” makeup. The upper’s black base is coated in a white python-skin print, and black leather is used as trim around the eyestays and collar to ensure the loud nature of the reptilian stylings isn’t constricted by overdone accents. Bright habanero red on the outsole, tongue/heel tabs, and small upper Swoosh then provide a finishing punch of hot color.
