Vans And Antihero Celebrate Four Skate Icons With New Capsule Collection

Vans And Antihero Celebrate Four Skate Icons With New Capsule Collection

Vans and Antihero have a lot in common. They’re both well-respected, fiercely independent, California-based brands with a storied history. However, they share more than just a mindset and mutual respect — they also sponsor four of the same skaters, as John Cardiel, Chris Pfanner, Jeff Grosso, and Tony Trujillo all have endorsement deals with both companies. Now, that quartet of professional shredders is serving as the centerpiece of the two’s newest capsule collection of shoes and apparel.

Cardiel is represented by a Vans Old Skool Pro, Pfanner is acknowledged with a Vans Slip-On Pro, Grosso gets the nod via a Vans SK8-Mid Pro, and Trujillo has received a special TNT Advanced Prototype. The collection uses tan, black, and blue tones to great effect, and each shoe also features a custom pigeon — a long-time Antihero mascot — detail on the footbed. They’re all ready for rugged street skating too, with features like UltraCush footbeds and Duracap rubber underlays. For a finishing touch, the collaborative assortment also offers four pieces of apparel: short/long sleeve tees, a trucker hat, and a custom-milled flannel shirt. Check out the whole collection below, and head over to Vans.com, where it’s available now with prices ranging from $22-$80.
