Update 2/21/19: The Jordan x Golden State Warriors shoe is in fact a hand-crafted Air Jordan 1 done in collaboration with customizer The Shoe Surgeon. Limited to a mere six pairs, the shoes feature a Warriors-styled blue, yellow, and white color scheme, and list off GSW’s six championship seasons on the heel. Visible Flywire, jersey-style mesh overlays, and a heel tab then provide unique details. Check out a full set of images of the new kicks here.
Update 2/20/19: The shoe in question is actually a custom created in collaboration with a retailer. Will be revealed soon.
Right in the middle of one of the most dominant dynasties in the history of professional American sports, the Golden State Warriors have taken to Twitter to tease and upcoming sneaker partnership with Nike. In the brief video, the Dubs list off their six championship-winning seasons while showing off the silhouette of an Air Jordan 1 with a few modifications, including a prominent heel loop, exposed Flywire, a new-look lacing system, and the absence of a lateral Wings logo or any other Jumpman branding. While it is certainly possible that branding is missing due to the simplicity of the sneaker silhouette in the video, it will certainly be worth following to see what comes out of this intriguing duo. While you wait for updates on this Warriors-themed Nike sneaker, take a look at the upcoming Nike SB Air Jordan 1 and stay tuned.
