This Nike React Element 55 Should Please The UNC Tar Heel Fans

As a non-translucent takedown model of the ever-popular React Element 87, Nike’s React Element 55 may not have found the same level of favor as its proverbial “big brother” silhouette last year — but it’s certainly gunning for a spot in your rotation this year. With recent releases like the well-received “Grid Pack,” the 55 has started the year off on the right foot, and now it’s set to release in a Tar Heels-style combo of navy blue and Carolina blue — similar to what Jordan Brand is using for their NBA All-Star releases like the Air Jordan 9. The shoe’s textile upper uses navy blue as a base, while colorful accents arrive via a Carolina blue Swoosh/detailing that peeks out from under the throat. A white React midsole with navy plugs then completes the look. Check out these new React Element 55s in detail below, and expect a release on Nike.com in the coming weeks for $130 USD.
