With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, Nike has used world’s amplified focus on men’s fashion to bring several interesting new collaborative designs to market. The latest pair to surface? A Zoom Haven melded with an Air Max 97 sole, premiered at this week’s CLOT — a long-time Nike collaboration with models like the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 13 Low already under their belt — show. An underappreciated model from the Nike archives, the Haven originally released in 1999 as part of Nike’s Alpha Project, and was designed to provide a cocoon-like fit for intense cross training sessions. This new silhouette mixes details from the Haven’s ahead-of-its-time upper with the Air Max 97’s instantly recognizable midsole, and dresses it in both a sporty/white/blue and retro Volt color schemes. The zig-zagging midfoot cage provides striking detailing, and a classic gum outsole adds a pop of timeless flair to each pair. Get a first look at the new hybrid design above, and stay tuned for more release information as it’s available. Want to see more new PFW footwear in the meantime?
