The adidas POD s3.1 “Shock Red” Utilizes A Retro-Themed Knit Pattern

As a lifestyle successor of sorts to the adidas NMD R1, the adidas POD s3.1 has surfaced in new styles both simple and complex over the past few months. Now, the POD is following in the adidas NMD‘s footsteps once again — this time with a retro-themed knit pattern on the upper that’s reminiscent of another beloved Trefoil Brand sneaker: the Ultra Boost. These new PODs call upon a bright “Shock Red” for their knit upper, and feature perforations around the toebox, midfoot, and heel for a breathable style that likely feels just as good as it looks. A tonal three stripe midfoot graphic and small white text hits provide contrast, while a two-piece white midsole — Boost in the heel, EVA foam on the forefoot — is held together by a milky while midfoot plastic shank. These heritage-packed adidas shoes will release January 24th on adidas.com for a flat $100 USD, so check out a full gallery of official images below while you wait for the drop.
