Nike’s plans for its 2019 Chinese New Year celebration are quite expansive. Set to dress up popular models the likes of the Air Jordan 12, the Nike Vapormax, and the Air Max 270, a number of the Swoosh’s creations harken back to the last 12 years of Nike CNY designs. Joining those ranks is the seldom-used Air Flightposite One that is set to don traditional geometric patterns as well as a galactic-like combination of purples and pinks. While not as popular as the other aforementioned silhouettes, the 1999 original still garners a strong cult following from followers of Nike’s boisterous hoops creations from that forgone era.
A set of Chinese characters take shape on both the left and right foot’s heel, and a pair of praying hands – that have been present on numerous other upcoming CNY iterations – dress up this Flightposite’s tongue. All of Beaverton’s drops set to commemorate this iconic holiday are slated to begin arriving at retailers the world over toward the end of this month, and the beginning of next, so grab a detailed look below and expect the same from this offering.
