One of the key embellishments featured on this year’s Air Jordan 12 “Chinese New Year” design is its black, fabric upper that is meant to either fade away with wear or be purposely removed to reveal a hidden layer of traditional Chinese Bai Jia Yi quilting. While that detail is firmly in tact on both the adult and GS-sized version of the special shoe, it has been left off of both the pre-school and toddler variety. With no presence of a black fabric overlay, both of these pint-sized iterations come with that aforementioned colorful pattern already taking center stage, boasting vibrant combinations of blue, red, yellow, and much more. Both of these kid-friendly 12s equip a Jumpman on their right tongues that come offset by Japanese characters on its left-footed counterpart, with warm red insoles and sail-colored mudguards. Just like the larger two sizes, the pre-school and toddler “Chinese New Year” 12s will be available at retailers around the globe on February 5th.
