Ross Dwyer 2018 was an excellent year for ladies-only renditions of the ever-popular Air Jordan 1. From Aleali May’s furry-tongued fabrication to the striking “Satin Shattered Backboard,” female sneakerheads had plenty of great options to choose from — and now one more has arrived right before the calendar is set to turn: a “Silt Red” makeup. The shoe features a fairly standard black leather base, but the special materials make it shine: A sparkling black sequin-style fabric coverers the toebox/throat and also makes a brief appearance on the heel, while the collar and midfoot swoosh are dressed in a faint “Silt Red” with crackle detailing. A clean white midsole and black outsole then arrive to complete the look. If you’re looking to grab one more Air Jordan 1 before 2019 starts, this interesting new colorway is available now at EU retailers like Footshop, and will likely arrive stateside early 2019 as well.
