The Nike Zoom Rookie “Glow In The Dark” Is Dropping Soon

The early ’10s were a fruitful time for Nike Basketball, full of head-turning releases from LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and more. The long-retired Penny Hardaway got in on the fun as well with his Zoom Rookie, a Foamposite-inspired silhouette that dropped in many memorable colorways — one of which was a gleaming “Glow In The Dark” that first hit shelves in 2011. Now, 7 years after their original release, the radiant Rookies are coming back again, and it’s safe to say that their light is still just as bright as ever. Upon first glance, the shoes appear to be simple, with a mixture of a black nubuck base and white molded overlays. However, when the lights go down, this Rookie really goes up, as the aforementioned overlays glow with an intense green colorway that’s sure to turn heads any night of the week.
