Carhartt WIP and Nike have long gone hand-in-hand, with style-conscious sneakerheads around the globe rocking the brand’s fashionable workwear-inspired garments alongside their Swoosh Brand kicks. As they’ve existed in the same stylish sphere for an extended period of time, they’ve worked together before — on limited SB Dunks in the early ’00s and on an ultra-rare Air Jordan 4 for Eminem in 2015 — but now their most extensive collaboration yet is coming to market this winter. The two have joined forces four-pack of collaborative kicks, three classic and one new: the Vandal, the Air Max 95, the Air Force 1 Low, and the Air Force 1 Utility, all of which combine Nike’s legendary sport-centric design ethos with Carhartt’s rugged aesthetic.
The Vandal and AF1 Low both opt for a durable canvas/corduroy uppers — the former in black, the latter in two-tone brown — with large heel tabs. Meanwhile, the AF1 Utility and the Air Max 95 call upon a combination of black, orange, and tiger camo — a pattern that’s familiar to any WIP lover. For a finishing touch a Carhartt logo patch appears on the tongue of each shoe, except for the AM95, which instead opts for a more traditional Air Max patch. Combining sport and street, this collection makes a strong case for one of the most unique collabs of the year, and you can expect each shoe to release December 6th on Nike SNKRS, Nike.com, and at select Swoosh Brand stockists. Grab a detailed look at all four shoes below, and be sure to let us know which pair is your favorite as well.
